# Loyalty, And Progression

***

### What Are NeoPoints?

NeoPoints are your **on-chain loyalty score.**

* Earned automatically when you stake $OPN
* Multiplied based on how long you lock your tokens (1–3 years)
* Used to redeem exclusive rewards: merch, events, access levels, and more

There are two types:

* **Pure Points** (earned by staking tokens bought from IOPn directly)
* **Earned Points** (gained from staking rewards or secondary tokens)

### The Loyalty Design

NeoPoints aren’t just for purchases - they build your **trust and status** across the ecosystem. Here’s how:

| **Loyalty Action** | **Reward Type** | **System Impact** |
| ----------------------- | ---------------- | -------------------------------------- |
| Buy $OPN directly | Pure NeoPoints | Full loyalty recognition |
| Stake for 3 years | Max multiplier | Top-tier access |
| Burn tokens for rewards | Unlock benefits | Recorded to NeoCard + NeoID |
| Hold NeoCard | Tracks all of it | Proof of history, activity, and access |

As you grow your loyalty footprint, the ecosystem recognizes and rewards you with new benefits and status.

### Long Term Design, Long Term Value

IOPn doesn’t just reward today’s actions - it tracks, remembers, and builds on them. Every loyalty interaction strengthens your on-chain identity.

And as the ecosystem expands, your past contributions become your future credentials.

> **Loyalty isn’t just rewarded - it’s remembered.**
